Ballet is an excellent way of understanding your body better, improving posture and building strong lean muscles. We believe in the importance of teaching a strong grounding technique enabling our students to progress through our graded BATD examination system. Our classes start at the age of 4 with Pre-Primary Ballet where it is important to learn through fun, gain confidence and inspire them to love the spirit of Ballet.

The syllabus of grades offered by the BATD Association will help students develop their ballet skills, as well as physicality and individuality.

The BATD syllabus can be used to take your child from their first ballet experience up to very advanced levels. These grades are intended to maximise your child's potential and help them understand and practice technique in their formative years. However, there are exams that must be taken. Many children dance just for the joy of it.

The school has achieved remarkable results for students who choose to take exams: We have never seen a student fail an exam and many of our students earn distinctions and merits.

1) Don’t be too ambitious. If you are just starting out with ballet dances, it is important that you don’t perform leaps or jumps in order to avoid injury.

2) Do make sure to warm up before each class. Warming up will not only prevent injury but also improve your performance in the long run because it warms up your muscles and makes them more flexible for dancing

3) Don’t forget about refueling after class! After a rigorous workout like ballet, it is important that you properly refuel with a healthy snack or drink to help you recover from the physical exertion.
